Not Sure Whether to Repair or Replace?
Ask an Engineer by Video for £19.
Show the fault to a real appliance engineer over a live video call - a noise, an error code, a leak, whatever's wrong - and get a practical opinion on whether it's worth repairing before you book anything.
Practical advice, not a guaranteed diagnosis - some faults need in-person testing. No obligation to book anything afterwards.
A £19 Video Call Is Not the Same as a Repair Visit
We'd rather you know exactly what you're buying before you pay for it.
- Deciding whether it's worth booking a visit at all
- Getting a second opinion before spending money
- Older appliances where replacement might make more sense
- Understanding an error code or a strange noise
- General guidance on next steps
- A full in-person diagnostic with tools and meters
- A fixed repair quote (that's confirmed on-site)
- Gas appliance work - we don't repair gas appliances
- Emergency electrical safety issues - call us directly instead
£19 Video Call - Frequently Asked Questions
How does the £19 video call actually work?
You book online and pay £19. An engineer calls you back to arrange a convenient time, then speaks to you over video - you show the appliance, describe or demonstrate the fault, and the engineer gives you honest, practical advice on whether it's worth repairing.
Do I get the £19 back if I book a repair?
Yes. If you go ahead with Appliance IQ afterwards - a repair visit, another appliance service, or replacement guidance - the £19 is credited straight off your bill.
What if I decide not to book anything?
That's completely fine. You've paid £19 for the advice call and there's no obligation to book anything further.
Is the video call a guaranteed diagnosis?
No - and we won't pretend otherwise. Some faults need in-person testing with tools and meters to confirm. The video call gives you a practical, experience-based opinion so you can make a more informed decision before booking a visit.
What do I need for the call?
Just a smartphone or device with a camera, and access to the appliance. Being able to show the error code, play the noise, or point the camera at the fault helps the engineer give you the best advice.
